An Australian woman has miraculously survived plunging into crocodile-infested waters after the cord snapped during her bungee jump over the Zambezi River.
Erin Laung Worth fell from the Victoria Falls bridge, 111m above the river on the border of Zimbabwe and Zambia.
She was forced to swim through the rapids with her feet still tied from the jump on New Year's Eve.
"I landed with my legs tied and then had to swim to the Zimbabwe side (of the river) through the rapids," Ms Worth told Australia's Channel 9 News.
"It was quite scary because a couple of times the rope actually got caught on some rocks or debris.
"I actually had to swim down and yank the bungee cord out of whatever it was caught on to make it to the surface."
Southern Province police commissioner Brenda Muntemba told the Post Zambia that Ms Worth was treated at Victoria Falls clinic in Zimbabwe before being evacuated to South Africa.
The jump was organised by a company called Safari Par Excellency.


22-year-old Australian Erin Langworthy survived after her bungee cord ripped, causing her to splash into the crocodile-infested Zambesi River, which is on the border of Zimbabwe and Zambia in Africa (video below).

On Australia’s Channel 9 news, Langworthy described her frightening New Year’s Eve experience: “The water was going quite quickly and then I started to hear the roaring. I actually had to swim down and yank the bungee cord out of whatever it was caught on to make it to the surface.”

“It went black straight away and I felt like I’d been slapped all over. It was quite scary because a couple of times the rope actually got caught on some rocks or debris."

Langworthy fractured her collarbone and suffered major bruises.
